A smart object for the nostalgic.

Conceived for Seattle’s 2014 Startup Weekend: Mobile Edition, TimeTravel.fm is a prototype smart object that melds the feel of a vintage radio with the features of a smartphone. Rather than tuning frequencies, spinning a knob on the “radio” tunes by year, playing the most popular songs of that particular moment in time.

A “Maker” Project

The prototype is constructed of finger-joined laser cut plywood and frosted acrylic, and powered by a single-page scrolling website, an iOS mobile app, and Arduino.
